-Sappy Days-
the Staging of an Irish Classic

My first foray into actual film making was a documentary account of what went on backstage and during rehearsals of a theater production.  I had agreed to take the smaller role of Ollie in Hugh Leonard's Irish classic memory play "Da", so that I might spend my downtime filming the goings on. To the films advantage, the cast and crew of "Da" turned out to be one of the tightest knit groups any of us had ever worked with, making the film a real testament to what draws people to be so completely involved with theater.

Below are some clips from the film.  First is the opening title/credit sequence, helped out by the Dropkick Murphys and thier Fields of Athenrye.

This next segment explores the importance of being on the set for the first time.
