EMERGENCE
Aaron Holbritter has ben entertaining people in various ways in the Upstate New York area for more than twenty years. He has spent those years cultivating his skills in an attempt to bring joy, laughter, contemplation and greater understanding through the dramatic arts of Stage, Film and Voice.
His love of performing emerged at the age of six in his hometown of Pittstown, NY. At a church function with his Grandmother, Sylvia, the scheduled entertainment failed to arrive. Aaron, who had recently memorized a joke book, asked if they might enjoy hearing him tell a few of them. He KILLED!!!!!

After winning over pot luck supper crowds across New York's Dairyland, little Aaron dabbled in theater throughout his school years, both in the high school productions at Hoosic Valley Central School and through the a Production Workshop for a new class called "Inter-Personal Relationships", devised by one of his mentors, Sue Forbes. Through this class and performance of this workshop, he learned the effect oone could have on others, and that the dramatic arts could be used to teach. He also really liked the attention.
It wasn't until his mid-twenties when he really started hitting the boards. He started at a local theater in nearby Raymertown called the Highlight Acting Troupe. He he got his stage legs back and also got the first chance to direct (EXIT THE BODY and LOST IN YONKERS). He then moved to Troy, then Cohoes, NY. He performed on such stages as the Historic Cohoes Music Hall and The Maureen Stapleton Theater. He performed memorable roles in shows like BUS STOP, L'IL ABNER, GOD'S FAVORITE, GREASE, 12 ANGRY MEN, and his favorite, The Cowardly Lion in THE WIZARD OF OZ.

Soon, Aaron started getting cast in more well known theaters in the area. Roles at Albany Civic Theater and Schenectady Civic Players drew the attention of local critics. He started taking on more daring works like GROSS INDECENCY; THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE, and a forty five minute monologue of a man carrying around a painful secret in Neil Labute's controversial BASH: LATTER DAY PLAYS. BASH, directed by Bob Geopfart was invited to the 2001 TANYS Festival where it received the award for Best Play.
Aaron made a point of working with the best of the best in his region. He was directed by such luminaries as Chris Foster, Steve Fletcher, Kevin McGuire and Cindy Brizell-Bates. He added to his resume such shows as ART, BUTLEY, BETRAYAL, TIME OF YOUR LIFE, THE ANDERSONVILLE TRIAL, RUN FOR YOUR WIFE, NOISES OFF, BREAKING LEGS, DA and many more.

From on-stage to backstage, Aaron soon found great success as a director, helming productions of such plays as BETTY'S SUMMER VACATION, TWO ROOMS, PROOF, and ENCHANTED APRIL. Directing theater led to an increased interest in film so he began studying filmmaking and soon completed his first feature length Documentary called "Sappy Days - The Staging of an Irish Classis" which followed theater groups attempt to mount Hugh Leonard's "Da".
Today, Aaron continues to follow his many interests. He is currently in pre-production on a mini-series made for the internet, preparing for future roles, and now doggedly pursuing work in the voice-over business, having recently audited the Voices For All Voice Over Master Class.
